McCormick Deering tractor

Saw this old derelict McCormick Deering tractor sitting out by a building on a restored late 1800s farm in West Phoenix last week and wondered how old it was. Well.....I found a video of one running. Take a look. Hope all of this came out.

One of my uncles farmed with a 10 20 in the early 50's Last I remember he still had it in the middle 60's.

Looked like some carburetor parts were missing and on the other side the magneto and plug wiring and the oil filter assbly to my untrained eye. I was surprised to find a U tube video of one running and working. Pulled that stump right out. My brother in law and the girls could have cared less about it.

They were/are great old tractors.
His magneto in that video must be set close to perfect.
The one in the video looks to be smaller than the one in
your picture, are they the same model?

The one in the pic appears to be a 15-30. Too big to be a 1-20. We had a 10-20 back on the farm when I was a kid. Fell off the fender while my father was mowing and went under the mower. I was small enough that I didn't get hurt badly. (I don't think anyway!)

There was a fellow that found one of those on an island - I think up in Quebec maybe.
It didn't run of course and he wanted to get it home.
So he hooked a rototiller up to the pto and used that to power it. Then waited till winter and drove it across the ice.
Finally got it home and restored it over a couple of years.
It was quite a story that we all enjoyed following on Tractor Talk.
Here's a thread posted by someone else that shows some photos of the progress

My Grandfather had a 10-20 parked behind a sawmill that I used to play on as a kid. Far from as nice as the picture tho.
He sold it to a guy a couple miles away in early to mid 70s. The guy showed up with another 10-20 to tow it home. Good thing to guy had no teeth to rattle loose. There were marks in the pavement from that endeaver for years LOL
