I going to look at an Ford 8N that has set for some time and won't turn over, needs tires. Would $400-500 be a fair price to pay ? Thanks

If it has a Sherman combo trains it may be worth a little more.
Otherwise your being generous.
However, the sell may not think so!

A lot less if the block is cracked(look on the left side behind oil filter and block drain) for cracks.Scrap prices are down right now to.

won't turn over... loose or seized?

I'd prefer loose.

if no windows, and loose and some air in tires and no magor defects.. yep.. 400-500$ is about going rate for a non runner.

I'd like to NOT see crankcase and common sump full of water.. otherwise less $$

good tires run around 600.oo for the rear + tubes + mounting fronts around 100.00 for the pair. You can buy 8n running around here for 1200.00 to 1500. I doubt if it will pencil out.
