9n lift and throttle advice

When working with my 9n and a ground engaging implement, the lift lever will slowly rise unless I hold it down. Also, the throttle will slip fairly consistently causing me to have to pull it back up to speed. Between holding the lift lever and resetting the throttle, I'm wearing myself out!
Any advice on what I need to do to fix either issue,
Many thanks in advance.

Your lift lever may just need a new friction disk.
Especially if it is very easy to move to begin with.
If that is the case though, it would be a great time to add a
Zane Thang to give the 9N position control like the 8N has.
Quick 10 minute bolt on, all external, no mods to original equipment.

The throttle probably needs the tension spring adjusted or
replaced. Is the lever riding on the quadrant notches?

A Zane Thang sounds like exactly what I
need! Where can this item be found?
Yes, the throttle is riding on the
quadrant notches.

You should have a control lever stop on the hydraulic lever bracket for adjusting the limits on the lift. It is #521 on the diagram. You should also have a governor compensating spring on the throttle linkage to help maintain the throttle adjustment.

Everyone else gave great advice on lift lever as the ZaneThang makes life better :)

When my throttle was doing as you described I ended up regrooving the grooves on throttle plate and rerounding the throttle lever where it rides on plate with a dremal. Of course I'm presuming your plate and lever are worn half smooth like mine were.
