Dan, have you removed the countershaft from your transmission? I have the same tractor with the Sherman in it. I have the same problem as you with removing the countershaft. As far as I can tell it doesn't come out the back of the trans like the main shaft does . I'm trying to come out the top and it hits the out put shaft. Appears like I'll have to remove the engine to access the Sherman and remove it to get the counter shaft out the top. The bearing and gear is pressed on the shaft and cannot be removed inside the transmission. I'm a little late I know getting in on this but I'm new to this forum. I would like to hear where your at on your tractor for any tips you may have. Thanks
