Replacement exhaust manifolds

Been looking for a replacement manifold for my 8n, some of the ones I have seen online are of poor quality. How is the quality and fit of the ones sold here?

Ive had issues with a couple of manifolds, not sure where they came from, both had to be ground down because the casting was too thick, the one for the '49 A was too tall to slide under the fan shaft, and the manifold for the '46 2N had too much casting on the lower side, it overlapped the tappet covers. Both were ground down and are presently working... But boy did the 'N have a vacuum leak before i found the problem and fixed it... Machine work on a brand-new manifold... They dont call china "the land of almost right" for nothing.....

Got one from here for my 2N.
Fit first shot no issues.
Only real issue from me is replacements are lighter in weight but fit fine.

49 A was too tall to slide under the fan shaft  You got me on that one care to splain that...

it overlapped the tappet covers

That's not uncommon the tappet cover studs get bent up all you have to do is tap'em down...

On the A, when we went to slide the manifold onto the head, it wouldnt go under the shaft that runs between the governor and the fan, had to grind some metal off in order for it to go under. On the ford, when i found that the manifold overlapped the tappet covers i used the intake gaskets to mark the manifold then used a grinder to make a bevel so it didnt exceed the gasket on the lower side. The original ford manifold was the same on the bottom edge as the gasket, the new one was lower by a good 1/2 inch. Nothing was bent.

I bought one from this site for a Ferguson TO30. What an unbelievable piece of chinese junk. The casting was so fat, I had to grind and grind just to be able to get a wrench on the nuts to tighten it up.

The ones from India or Turkey seem to be better than the P R O C ones.India especially has a historic metal working
tradition.
