Belly sickle mower

I have a belly sickle bar mower that came off an 1942 2N. It is missing one part that I know of that connects to the left side of the tractor. I think it is a hard rubber shock absorber that fits in a ring. Not sure. I am looking for a home for it, someone that would like to use it for parts or rebuild it. It is free. Anyone have any thoughts where I might find interest?

TIA! Patrick

I sold a Ferguson like that over a year ago. I put it on Craigslist and kept re-listing it for almost a year before I got the first call. I was only asking $250 for it, including two cutter bars and the complete installation, guard, belts, etc. The first caller came and picked it up from Washington, but he was sending it in pieces to his brother in Maine! The brother needed several of the key parts that were small enough to ship. The heavy parts were riding with the Washington brother the next time he drove back for a visit.

Sometimes it takes a while to get results.

I'm glad it was going to help keep someone's N in service.

As a young boy I helped my grandfather install and remove this mower on his 2N (which I now own) and boy, did I learn some interesting language each time! He hated the yearly ritual, and we only mowed about 25 acres, reduced to about 15 as time went on.

Where are you? I have one of those Ford Ferguson mowers that I am planning on putting on a 2N, but I need a few of the supports, and maybe a few of the mounting brackets... Would give you something for the whole mower if it isn't too far away?! I am in Sandpoint Idaho.

Thanks! Bryce
