I just got a new oil filler cap for my 1940 9N -- this one:http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/3...ent_6290.htm?gclid=CNmSp_Cp1scCFQ2OaQodtk8Gjw
Though it's listed in the ad as working for the 9N, I've since learned in an archived post to this forum that it's an 8N cap. Now, it fits, but loosely. I'm trying to decide whether to spend the extra to get the cap that reflects the OEM part# (about $25 more) or do something to improve the fit of this one -- perhaps spread or flare the end of the tube on the filler cap slightly?
I'm undecided on whether to use what I have and save the money or just go ahead and get the repro cap, not knowing whether that would actually fit better.[/url]
