LOOSE LIFT ARM BUSHINGS

I just had an idea sitting here at the computer concerning those pesky loose lift arm bushings.

Why not just pull the lift off. pack the inside of the bushings, prop up the lift arms at the bottom and pour the voids with babbett?

Probably would last as long as a brass bushing and not have to try to remove the lift arms and maybe break something or loose your religion over it??

Actually I have no problem with loose lift arm bushings???? If it works why maybe break something?
I have fixed a couple over the past 60 years for other people but I don't recommend it.
But if I do have one off in the future I may try it. That is if I don't forget. Forgetting it getting to be one of my worst problems. I turned 80 last month. Think that may have some to do with it????

I have poured a lot of babbitt over the years. Make sure it is good quality babbitt with no lead in it.
Power Nickle is one of the best. Available from Magnolia Metals. I have used aluminum to pour slow speed bearings.
It won't take much to do what you are doing.

Saw on line just couple of days ago that snuffing Rosemary can improve memory by up to 70%..I asked my wife if she thought I could find a whole boquet somewhere....Didn't say I believe everything I read but if I had some I;d do some sniffing..
