Someone Here Put a Bug in My Ear

Back when I was moaning about moist air in my air lines while spray painting, someone here suggested using a roll of paper towel. Thanks for that suggestion.

So here's what I did. I took the water filtering element out of a water filter, rolled back the outer plastic mesh and cut the element apart. Then using the perforated core pipe,
I cut a roll of paper towel to that length and started rolling towel onto it until I reached a size that would fit snuggly in the end caps. Rather than glue the end caps to the towelling I just did a wrap of masking tape to keep it together till it was installed.
Maybe I could use a better towel but I had this around so I'll try it spraying some New Holland red tomorrow.

I sprayed my fronts with the original water element installed, but I think that this is waaay more absorbent. When doing the fronts I actually had a couple of big drops of water fly out of the gun. Must have been trapped in that old filter that I had dried in the sun for days. So that's what motivated me to try the paper towel idea.

Thanks for all the help and encouragement,
Terry

As per other suggestions, I added more air supply and brought my drain cocks out within easy reach.
