Has anyone used the Super S Universal Tractor Fluid in there 8N? It's time for me to change mine. I saw it at the Rural King and it has the MC2-134D on it. I live where it gets really cold. Thanks

It should be OK if it meets CNH 134D specs.

May tend to leak more than the GL-1 and issues with internal leakage will likely be more apparent.

Ok thanks. Kind of what I thought but wanted to make sure. Several years ago I changed it and put the wrong stuff in there. It said Ford but never mentioned the MC2_34D on it. It has worked just fine but thought this time I'll do it right.

On an N, it's really hard to 'completely' screw up unless you put engine oil, auto trans fluid or jack oil in the sump.

Any gear oil from gl-1 and up would work, even if it worked poorly in the cold.. same with UTF fluids.

The cheapest worst one out there would WORK.. but might be like grape jelly in the winter till it warmed up.

The [b:f28751ec6a]Super S Premium[/b:f28751ec6a] UTF is a generic equivalnet to Ford M2C-134D and will work fine in all but extremely frigid temperatures. The same can not be said for the S[b:f28751ec6a]uper S SuperTrac 303 [/b:f28751ec6a]fluid which is a low grade product and IMO should be avoided - especially in even moderately cold climates.
