OT - this month's little project

Pouring an 8 ft by 12 ft cement slab behind my sister's trailer.
Took most of a month from planning to "almost done".
Most of that was getting schedules aligned to make it happen.
10 yards of sand to level the yard and build a base.
5 yards of top soil to hold it in and grow grass.
Loader work compliments of my old Jubilee.
I tagged the 960 to do the landscape rake work.
Nothing fancy, but it's what she wanted.
From the picture it looks like a 2 day job!
I must be getting old! LOL

The cub is still kind of on the back burner.
I'll have it back together enough to get it out of the shop by
winter but I doubt it will get finished or painted this year.
I guess it just hasn't been high on the priorities list. :(

"It's always better to plan first than to wish that you had after"

That's for sure! This needed to be near level, but down hill enough
for water to run away from the house. I also wanted it to be a
gentle enough slope to use a riding mower on. It wasn't before.

Getting the sand hauled in during the busy season actually took
two weeks so not getting the right amounts the first time would
have caused a significant delay.

All's well that ends well. :)

"did you get anything ya WANTED to do at yer place today??"

Sure I did Gary. I got the shop all cleaned out so I can host
the party out there and not try to cram everyone in the house!
I think we're expecting 15 adults and 8 kids. Not quite as many
as the last B-day party but still too many to put indoors all at once.
I painted the neighbor's car in the shop two weeks ago, so most
of it had already been wiped down and vacuumed up.
