Hey Rich, a few years ago you had showed/told me the wiring setup on a single wire gm alternator when you pop the rubber plug on side of alternator housing and wire in the other 2 wires and etc. Working on a 1949 8N 12V....can you bring me back up to speed on this? gettin older and havin way too many brain farts! much appreciated budduy!

This may or may not work depending on the 1 wire alternator you have. You pop that plug off and inside is 2 terminals and if you look close at the alternator they are marked #1 and #2. The wire from the #2 goes to the charge stud on the alternator and the #1 goes to the ignition switch the side that is hot when turned on. Your likely to need a diode or light bulb or ballast resister in that #1 wire or you may not be able to shut the engine down due to alternator back feed

Rich i thought i had posted a thank you for your help but i obviously didnt hit the post button or im getting old lol. anyway, Thank ypu for your help buddy!
