Is it not charging, but will motor?

Last on i had did that was a Lucas b circuit with a field fault.

If you then ground the field, does the charge jump up?

Have you tried jumperwiring the vreg to the geyt directly as a test for bad wires or ground reference?

Will Gen motor?

If it motors, have you tried bypassing reg field, first, then cutout, then both, observing inbetween?
