throttle/governor queston

Had to replace the manifold on a 9N. First aftermarket manifold was a POS and linkage to governor hit manifold and would not allow WOT. I may have tried to force it a bit before I saw the interference.

Second manifold fit perfect but something in the throttle linkage seems to have slipped as I need to go above the throttle control plate to get idle, and WOT is about halfway on the throttle plate.

With throttle above the plate I can get a nice idle.

Anyway needed to use rotary cutter a bit before I could fully look into the problem this evening. When cutting it seems as if the governor is acting up as motor will race when turning slightly downhill when cutting. That is seems as if I need to throttle down when I never had to before.

I don't think there are any vacuum leaks and used aviation form a gasket on intake/ex gasket and fuel rated silicon on carb gasket. Will check this anyway tomorrow and make sure all the nuts and bolts are tight. It idles down real nice.

Is there anything I could have missed hooking linkage back up? And ideas on why I need to go above the throttle plate to get idle?

I had the manifold off a few years ago to adjust the valves and did not have any such problems.
