The one pivot pin on my jubilee had a lot of play. I was hoping that it was just loose on the inside, so I removed the axle housing (looks like a trumpet). As you can see in the pictures the pin in worn, but the housing is also.

My current thought is to buy a new pin, clean everything up good and use a high quality epoxy to fill in the gap in the housing when I install the new pin. What do you guys think? Will that work or do I need to find a replacement axle housing?

Are you planning on using this tractor as a work tractor?
If so, I would replace that housing or have it welded up and re-bored.
I have one that was home repaired before I got it.
Ugly, but it doesn't leak and it isn't used heavily.
I'm not sure what they did on the inside to seal it, but I am sure
if I was going to use it for tillage I would do something different.

Yes it is going to be a working tractor. I guess I will start looking for a housing. There are a couple salvage yards near by.

wow.. that's wallowed out about worse than any other I have seen.

normally when it is just a little out, epoxy or rtv makes up some 'leak' voids, and hte metal does all the grunt work. on that one, the metal has all been swaged out and back.

I'd for sure get a new pin, and I think I'd braze or weld that up and then grind and rat tail file painstakingly by hand to fit the taper GOOD, then go at it with epoxy to prevent leaks.

the metal on metal will hold the work weight.. the epoxy is there just to plug the gaps.

i would not just re pin it and goop it like it is though.

cast iron weld rod is easy to find these days, and it's easy to grind and file.. and that's how I'd tackle it.. even over brasing.

A reliable, long-term, leak free repair will require a replacement axle trumpet or more expensive weld/machine repair.
