Paint colors

Hey guys I would say this ? Has been beat to death but I will ask any way Have. 1952 ford 8 N side mount dist what should color be red or the orangeish color my dad had the tractor for a long time I no it was not painted when he had it it is orangeish color now just want to get it right Also was seat bracket black Thanks for any help PS will be using Ppg single stage paint

I'm not one of the tractor gurus here but from what I've learned, the Vermillion Red from PPG is pretty darn close to the original. If I repaint mine that's the color I will use. My first attempt was the Ford Tractor red and yes it's a bit to much orangeish for me. It is definitely not a match for the original paint left on parts of the tractor.

Tisco makes a very accepted color and Im happy with how it lasts, especially with hardener.
