8n pulling the rear axle hub

Need help, I'm trying to get the hub off of my rear axle and have done as the manual show's using a wheel puller to get it off. So far it won't budge. Anybody know an easy way to get it off. Can't remember what the part that holds the part that works the brake behind it is called but it broke and I need to replace it. Thanks for any help.

Loosen the nut a couple of turns and put it back in service.

It will quickly loosen.

I concur with Dean. I had a tough one once and I backed off the nut a turn or two. Put the clip back on and cut a few figure eights in the drive way in third gear. That hub came loose when I tried it again.

(quoted from post at 21:18:12 08/20/15) I yak the whole mess and use a press... This one required heat I messed with it quite awhile it sounded like a shot gun when it turned loose

Stuck hubs are a good thang I will take'em over loose $hub's$...

ep, that drive 'em around with nut loose only works sometimes. I have one 8N that has had a loose nut & sometimes no nut at all for several years & hub to axle still tight as a drum! Use it all the time, too. It will need Hobo's press technique, someday.

You are right, sometimes it takes a press and the old hot wrench.
That gun shot sound is a bit unnerving the first time you hear it coming from something that "shouldn't" make that sound.
