Before and after pictures. Roughly 3 months apart.
Don't pick it apart too hard, I know it's not original! LOL
Complete front end rebuild, bushings/bearings/seals/pin etc,
all new gaskets in the engine covers, new seals in the steering
gearbox, steering boots, new radiator, gas tank, steering
wheel, shifting knob, and boot, transmission cover top gasket,
gauges, wiring, tires, fluids, etc, etc, etc. The front end was
wore out. The rest were burnt beyond repair.

"That looks fantastic Royse!!!"

Thanks Lisa!

"Do you have another one lined up next?"

One? LOL Unfortunately, there are several. Two in progress!

beautiful!!!

my question for you and other guys who transform tractors is where do you find the time to do it?

Royse - I've been watching your progress ever since you brought it home. Wow what a beauty! I know your proud of it. I'm proud of it and had nothing to do with anything!

Nice work!

I am impressed you do very nice work. We are in the process of redoing a Funk conversion, I hope it comes out as nice as yours.

Thanks everyone, it was a lot of work and we like it.

Gabe, can't be a lawn ornament, it cost too much!
If you want a lawn ornament just paint it to look pretty.
No need to go to all the trouble of making it work! LOL
Admittedly, it will do mostly show and parade duty.

Steve, when GB in MT gets here he'll tell you I have nothing
better to do. ;)

Les, got new xrays, and seems the doctor is pleased with the healing we have taken pains with. He is also eager to set a date SOON, for the operation.
We were both elated to hear him say SOON!!!!
Just a matter of him calling, and I told him I will have her ready and there within 5 hrs, from his call time!!!

I also am saving ALL "Crispy pix" to yer file here.
BTW......what date/time, do you expect you will have 'Crispy', here for delivery.!!!???????

Gary :?:    [/i:078ba83f0f][/b:078ba83f0f]

Two weeks after the check clears. Promise! LOL
Glad to hear the trip went well.
Both the drive itself and the Dr. visit.
Let us know when "soon" is!

Great news, Gary!
As for the burnt tractor & the one Royce took pictures of at a tractor show somewhere, well..........nice try!
Seriously, WOW! I am not just that much of a glass half full kind of fellow! Nor as energetic. Great job!

Be sure to bring it to the Camp Creek Threshers show in Nebraska this year. We're featuring the Ford tractors.
Hope to see you there.

(quoted from post at 18:45:05 06/10/15) Looks great Royce.
But I'm waiting to see some progress on that yellow one.
That yellow one is definitely on the list Jerry!

In fact, it got moved up one place today as I decided to jettison
one that I was going to do a quick fix on. I need to get rid of
a few other Farmalls too, but have to fight Joan to do it! LOL

Now to figure out how to get that cab off with only 10 ft ceilings!

Haha, perfect! That's an incredible job Royse. I'll have to come out and see it in person before you get it all scratched and dinged up.

Stop by any time! It'll be at the Ionia Fairground for the show
next weekend too, along with a few others of mine and I think,
for the first time, one or two of my brother's tractors.

You did a great job !! I'll try and stop up to see you after my foot heals up in a few weeks. You do good work Royse,..you can be proud.

Not much to pick there pardner, you did a jam-up job!
That's one nice Jube. I hope you get to show it off a little before you have to get it dirty!

Royce,
I tried to e-mail or PM you to keep from having to post in an older thread but had no luck. I painted my new exhaust with the VHT you told me about and I'm very happy with it. My next question is what paint did you use on Crispy? I went to the local PPG dealer today and I'm not at all happy with them for several reasons. I'm hoping you used TSC paint and it turned out that beautiful.
Thanks
Jack

Royce, what is that over the joint between exhaust header and muffler? Is that a stainless steel clamp? Napa?

Jack the red was Ford Red from TSC. Majic brand.
TSC doesn't carry that medium gray, only light or dark gray.
I ordered that from our hosts YT. [b:25859b25a5]Link[/b:25859b25a5]

Royse, Thank you for the speedy reply. Your tractor looks GREAT and I'm happy to hear you used the Majic paint. I've read where people say it takes a long time to dry. Has that been your experience. Have you used Majic before and if so how has it held up?

Cowdog, yes, it's a universal "repair" clamp.
It consists of a piece of aluminum(?) tape, then a strip of
asbestos-like cloth and then the band you see goes over it
to seal it. Not original looking, but it hasn't leaked yet and
it can't crush the elbow like a regular muffler clamp can.
I don't remember if I got it at NAPA or another local place
but it did come from a car parts store here in town.

Ok. So I will go ask for A unversal repair clamp and see if it comes up with what you described. Tnx. Dave.

Majic out of a spray can takes a long time to dry.
Not all cans of it, but some that I have used took up to
two days even when painted thin enough to see through.

The Majic that I sprayed out of a gallon can didn't take long at
all but I did use their brand of reducer and hardener in it.
I painted a Farmall on a Wednesday night, put decals on it Thursday
morning, took it to a show and let the kids climb all over it on Friday.

If you skip the hardener it will take much longer to dry, it won't
shine as well and it will fade far faster than painting with it.
This goes for pretty much any paint, not just Majic.

I didn't like Majic when it first came out but it seems to work
pretty well now. On the down side it can be brittle and will chip.

This is probably the fourth or fifth tractor I've painted with it.
All of them still look good but none are more than a few years
past the paint job so take that into consideration too.
TSC just started carrying this brand what, three or four years ago?
