I plan to go to a salvage yard and remove a Main Spring Assembly from an 8N. The assembly would have on it a yoke, spring, seat, support, felt washer, plate assembly, and the plunger.
From the parts book, I can see how to remove the pin holding the yoke, and the bolts holding the plate assembly. How do you remove the the pin holding the plunger to the inside of the hydraulic box ?
Can I remove it from the outside or is it necessary to take off the hydraulic cover ? If I have to take off the hydraulic cover, can the pin be removed without taking anything else apart ? Looking at the pictures in the parts book, I am not sure there is room to slide the pin out even with the hydraulic cover off.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
