Have a 1952 8 N left rear brake standing in back of tractor had a noise like squeaking sound took drum off I found that the brake spring is rubing the back of hub around the lug nut bolts I can see where it's rubing it has wore spring down some what Also I bought a used rear end for parts When I removed that drum low and behold that spring had been tubing Any body got any advice Thanks for any help

hub and or axle look really worn and setting in deep?

I'd check the hubs like souNdguy said.
