'52 8N - front axle pin problems Pt II

I posted the other day about the front axle pin coming loose on my '52 8N while mowing.

Here's why it came loose

My question - can this plate be welded back on the axle support? I see three spots where this was tacked on. If so, will it hold?

thanks,

My front plate was missing on my 8N and I had to make one and then weld it to mount.

Here is a link to this process:

You ain't kidding on his prices!

Ps cousins kids truck running good. She called the other day saying it was making noises turning. Went over, pow steer oil looked like tar.

Tho kids dad didn't teach her any maintenance habits.

She's 19. At just about half that age my dad was at least having me do the "here hold this" deal at his auto body shop.

Anywho, changed her fluid after flushing and as a precaution checked her brakes n fluid and diffy.

Go figure.

I made one of those set ups at my place of employment last year. A very similar one if not the same
