Yo Ultradog

I bought that 231 at the auction.... Seems as you surmised .... It was the LCG version of the 2310 or similar ..the tractor had been modified to 28 rims... And the spindles were modified in length to match the 28 inch rims.... Go figure!!.... That is unfortunate....some places I hay would be better served with a lower profile.... The price was right... Take care Dog!

Uh Oh.
Another guy with an N that's going to sit in the shed once he finds out how much better of a tractor he bought.
Think of it as a 2600 - especially if/when ordering parts.
It shouldn't be hard to find a set of LCG (low center of gravity) front spindles for it if you want to lower it.
I bought a set of them on Ebay several years ago from a 2110 (not 2310) and run them on my 3000 - along with shorter 12.4x28 rears.
Drops the whole tractor about 4" lower than normal.
Makes for a much more stable platform when I'm brush hogging side hills but still has enough clearance for plowing and the like.
Nice score!
I know you will like it.
PS, The I&T manual you want for it is the FO-41

I use a friends 2110 a lot around his small acreage and our hunting property for hogging and other general chores with the FEL.

The power steering doesn't work. We tried the bleed method in the manual up on the steering box under the dash with no luck.

Other than the power steering issue I really like the tractor and have been trying to talk my buddy into selling it to me since he bought a new Kubota.

Hyd filter has been changed and the tractor is up to spec fluid level with UTF. Any suggestions?

BJ

Thanks Dog. Great info..... These Tractors came thru with 24 inch rears. Right??....and yes.... Gonna look to lower it back down....you should see some of the places I hay....LOL!

RB,
Ford built 2 different 2110s.
The early one was identical to a 3000 (1965-
75)but had the shorty front spindles and short,
Wide rear tires. They used them on gang mowers
on golf courses, etc.
The other 2110 was a Japanese Shibura built
tractor (1983-87)and a completely different
animal.
I could help with the early one but know little
about the Shibura one.

They came with either little duals on the back 6x24? or the real fat wide ones - something like 18.9x20 or some such. Tires were easily 2' wide.
With the fat, wide rears and the front steering set way out they looked almost like a spider.
Google Ford 2110 lcg and you'll find pictures.

This is the later one built by Shibura 1983 model if I remember correctly
