Update on rebuild of OHV Funk

We got the ring and pinion reinstalled, trumpets bolted back on. Steering box rebuilt. Tranny back together. Finally found a new clutch so we now have the rebuilt motor bolted in place. I have a different shift plate to install, so I put that one to keep the tranny clean. Next is rebuild the front suspension parts and finish assembling the brakes and a ton of other little parts. Then I hope to begin the painting process. Learning a lot, and having lots of fun.

Steve, Yes it is a Funk OHV conversion. I am not sure how many were made with this motor. They also made Funk conversions with a flathead 6 engine.

Look good coming right along. post some photos of the process along the way. It will have a nice clean look
without the rails. Does the overhead use the same starter as the 8n? Which sherman are you using.

As for the starter, it uses the same starter. But has an adapter that connects it to the mid plate. Adapter is for OHV engine only. I hope I never break mine as it would not be easy to replace.

It has a combination HI - LO Sherman tranny

Air cleaners? I need one myself. Anyone want to sell one?
