The steering on my 2N was out of synch. With the drag links disconnected I rotated the steering so that the right sector was all the way forward to resynch them. On steering back the other way to reengage the sectors only the left sector reengaged. I removed the steering box and found that the only apparent problem was on the end tooth on the right sector. It is worn on lower part - worn down less than 1/8 for about 3/8 at the bottom of the tooth. Is this enough damage to cause the sector to fail to mesh when resynching the steering. I want to be sure that this is the problem before replacing the right sector as these are rather expensive. The pinion and both sectors all look good except for this.
