Bought a NAA or Jubilee

We found this on a local for sale website. Not sure of the year yet. Motor is shot, it does have a Sherman combination tranny. It seems to have a few more levers and thingy's than my 8N. I will get some more pics tonight. Any information from the pics anyone can give me?

Nice tractor. Looks like a 53 or 54. Its a good platform for a restore. The rear tires look like new, that's a good plus. I just rebuilt a 134 engine a year or so ago. Assuming nothing crazy shows up, it is as easy a rebuild as they get.

Enjoy to process.

Yep, '53 or '54 NAA. Great tractors.
Rear tires look great as Kurt said. Are they Forerunner brand?
I bought some new Forerunners that look like that.

What's wrong with the engine? I bought one a while back that
ran but knocked hard. Crank was bad, head cracked in three
places and one connecting rod worn slap out.
I still have the block, pistons, governor, etc if needed.
I don't remember where you're located. I'm in central Michigan.

The engine has a large hole in the side where a rod went thru. I have not looked around to see how easy motors are to find for these. Some may feel I paid to much for a tractor with a shot motor, $500.00 But I figured the Sherman combination tranny, tires, sheet metal and other stuff made it a good enough deal. I would like to restore it. If a motor shows up for sale, that's what we will do. On the left side where 2 shift arms appear, I guess one engages the PTO, what does the 2nd lever do?

It has the Sherman "live PTO" option. Does it work? Most don't.

Engines are easy to find for $500 - $750.

Now that I can see the rest of the pictures, I don't think the
price was bad. Tires alone are close to that and the live PTO
option with the pump and lines adds value on their own.

Dean, how would a guy tell if it works without the engine running?
That's a serious question. If there is a way to do so, I'd like
to know in case I run across one again.

I actually was not aware of it having live PTO until you guys looked at the pics. I have a lot to learn about tractors. Thanks for the help guys.

I don't know where your located, there is a guy in Mason City Iowa that parts out fords. He has ads on Craigslist, his name is Joe. Hope this
helps you, he probably has a complete engine.

You got a very good deal.
Sherman, live pto parts, toolbox floorboard, NAA bumper, rest-o-ride seat....and a NAA only valve under the seat...nice.
good deal even if it was sitting on blocks with no tires. They are a bonus.

ps, since it already has been converted to a piston hydraulic pump, you don't have to find those scarce piston pump NAA hydraulic lines....which go today for a very large % of what you paid for it all.

Floldford, Funk project is doing great, I posted some update pics.

Mdparrott.. Sounds like the guy in MO may be pretty close to me. How would I contact him?

The guy's name is David Laughlin. He's got a tractor shop/sales in Harrisonville. I'll see if I have a phone number.

Mdparrott: I called the guy with the engine. As you said pulled from a tractor been sittin for a year or so. He wants $1000.00 for it.
