Grill On Ford Jubilee's

I was studying the grill on this 1954 Ford NAA and
was wondering about the two wing bolts they do not
seem to be connected to anything is there a bracket
that they thread into must be. Let me know and how
it would be set up.

Thankyou;
Travis

The brackets that the wing nuts/bolts screwed into were
attached to the "doglegs". The side pieces that hold the hood up.
With any luck, those brackets are just bent back out of the way.
New doglegs are pricey.

Found a picture of one of mine. Bracket circled.

Thankyou for your info and picture, went out to look
at the tractor after your post did not see any signs of
where the grill would have attached not bent back
just gone. Looks like a future project, may I
ask do you still have that dog leg that you could
send a couple more pictures with differnt angles of
it?

Thankyou;
Travis

Not sure if I still have that one, but I have some around that I
would be glad to take pictures of for you. I would think a bracket
could be fabricated fairly easy if the rest of your doglegs are in
good shape. Sure beats $110+ each for aftermarket ones.
Let me know what you need specific angles or measurements.

Royse:

That would be fine the rest of the dog leg on both
sides looks to be in good shape photos of the
brackets will be helpfull to replicate.

Thankyou;
Travis

Dear Royce:

Great looking photos appreciate all of your help. Let
me ask you this does the dog legs hood and sides
come off in one assembly or can come apart by
section?

Thankyou;
Travis

They can be taken off as an assembly but they are all separate
parts that can come off one at a time. The rusted bolts can be a
bear to get each piece off individually if you can't turn it over to
reach the inside when trying to get them apart.
I find the radiator, gas tank, something is always in my way so
I normally take the sheet metal off as an assembly other than
the dash. The tractor can still be driven/used with the tin off.

This pic is of a 640 I was working on. Same idea.
