Steering help

Have a 1949 8N with the old style steering box. I can turn the wheel to the left with one hand while moving but to turn right it takes two hands. This just started as I was cutting pasture. Setting still you can't turn to the right at all. What do you think might be the most common cause of this. Thanks

notice any rise/fall of the wheel as you turn lock to lock? if so, thrust bearings...

time to R&R the box.. not a hard job. also check draglinks just because.. and spindle bushings, as they can effect turning.

Thanks I was thinking a rebuild was in its future. I have a FO4 doesn't look to bad of a job after getting it off the tractor an onto the bench.
