8N stuck bad

I got my 8N stuck in the mud about a month and a half ago. In my efforts to get it out, I got it stuck in reverse and 2nd...
I cannot get the engine to turn backwards to remove the tension; I've tried using a screwdriver on the flywheel as well as a chain wrench on the front pulley. I tried getting another tractor's FEL to lift up the back end to 'tow' it out, but it doesn't have enough oomph to make it budge, I don't know anyone with a bigger tractor. It is down to the belly in the dirt, out in the middle of the pasture. Any other ideas on a way to unbind the transmission? Is there a way to uncouple the differential so I could just pull it out? Any other ideas (short of renting a draught)?

Thanks!

Take the top off the transmission and see if you can put the gears in order with a little main force and awkwardness, as my old may he RIP Dad used to say.

Take the top off the tranny and use a crowbar to get it out of gear. Takes about 5 minutes. Pull it back to the shop and put it back together.

If it has that much tension on it you will have to get it jacked up some how and get at least one wheel free and off the ground. Will the loader at least lift up one wheel off the ground?? I know the loader on my 841 would do that much if not lift the whole rear end up. Boards and a screw jack etc may work

Ok... The ground was finally firm enough for me to jack it up with my hi-lift. I got the back end up, turned the engine backwards with the chain wrench, pushed the wheel with my foot and was able to pry the gears back to neutral. It wouldn't start (I'm pretty sure water got up to the distributor; problem for another day), but I was able to pull it out with my truck.

There are a couple of gears that have half a tooth missing and a major 'clunk' with every engine rotation with the clutch out, so there's a transmission rebuild in my future.

Thanks for the suggestions!
