jmerrell.........you ask "how do I align the crankshaft to fit with the same setting"........would you believe you align the crankshaft gear MARK with the camshaft gear MARK??? This is BEHIND the engine front cover and above the castiron engine oil pan.

You do realize the weird 4-nipple front mount dizzy is designed to have the points (0.015") replaced on the kitchen table, don't you? Just un-snapple the capple and remove the 2-bolts and walk to the kitchen. Replacement is a reversal of the removal ...except... finger start the 2-bolts, install the ROTOR and rotate the rotor until the OFF-SET tang fits into the OFF-SET camshaft slot. Now tighten the 2-bolts and re-snapple the capple. Simple, eh? Remember to "polish" the INVISIBLE corrosion from between the points. Me? I clamp the corner of $1-bill between the points and pull. ........HTH, Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister
