It works. Hooked wires up backwards on can, started her up and amp gauge went to + side, parked her under her new roof, and gauge went to center when shut off.
Main reason did not switch back to Pos ground this go round is my simpleton brain has not yet fully grasped a 55 yr long tradition of Neg ground. Before summer is over I intend to simply swap all connections to correct positions and re-energize generator. Would have done today but supposed to be the hottest day of the year.
