1948 8N Front Mount. I am in the process of adding a thermostat and lower hose heater to my 8N. When I disconnected the fuel line from the sediment bulb
to raise the hood, it leaked gas (drip, drip), even though the gas supply was shut off. Therefore, I need a solid plug with which to temporarily plug the
sediment bulb until the work is complete. At a later date and when the gas tank is empty, will I worry about getting a kit to stop the leak.
What I need to know is what thread pitch the fitting is that screws into the sediment bulb. My instincts tell me that it is a pipe thread, about
5/16...but I am not sure and need to get the correct pitched plug to continue. The parts book only gives the part number of the line assembly, does not
indicate what thread pitch it is. Anyone know just off-hand?
