Fan housing 8N

How to get fan housing to fit on a non OEM radiator on 8n Ford. Don't seem to fit. Thank you for any hints.

Leave it off. I assume you are talking about the shroud. Don't need it. My 52 8N has never had one on it in my memory.
I use it almost every day and it has been in the family since it was new. I am also a 52 model.

What is the problem with the fit?
I've replaced a couple of these radiators and the shroud fit Ok.
I did have to make a couple of new holes for screws though.

ut one on. Needed torch for red hot & ball peen hammer, drill new holes, etc. Still fan hit on uneven terrain. Next time in there it came off. Absolute PITA! Makes front distributor access a nightmare too. Didn't run any cooler either (have temp gauge). My other 8N never had a problem without one since 1969 (46 years & counting). Anyone want a "nearly un-used" shroud?

Guess I've been lucky! If it were that bad I'd leave it off too.
I've never had one fit that badly so I put them back on. <shrug>

like said, most don't really need it.
I usually try to save/reinstall parts if they were there originally and I have them.
fan shrouds though....if there is an offending problem area...
cut it off. old car trick to cut the bottom off the shroud
so it will install easier or pull out the top with the fan still on.
A look from the side/top....no one notices

A good one is hard to come by I would hold on to it... I have kept one and wish I had never sold the good ones I had... The reason i keep one is to use it as a template to fit up a repop that don't fit either..
