Well, I ended up with 2 brand new FREE john deere double acting cylinders 2" x 36" stroke (same as the old ones). We warranteed them as the 2nd port (down pressure) broke off. I can later weld the ports on and have down pressure when I buy another valve.

ANYWAYS..... My old cylinder had 1" pins and 1" mounting holes. The new JD cylinders are 5/8" pins. ASIDE from welding plate over the holes and drilling 5/8" holes in them does anyone else have any other options?

Obviously some kind of bushings would work but there will be some slop etc and washers.... and finding them.

Does anyone know of a product that is pre-made to adapt a 5/8" cylinder pin to a 1" hole.

I was thinking of having a machine shop lathe me out a bolt 1" in the beginning tapered down to 5/8" then have it screw into a shoulder 1" nut but probably expensive.

Just moved and I dont have 220v for my arc welder out in the shed yet. I have my little mig flux core but I dont know if I trust that for this application.
