1950 Thru 1952 Ford 8n tractor

What would be a fair asking price for a 1950 thru
1952 Ford 8n tractor? I realize overall condition,
rebuilt engine or not, tires and any implements
included one would think a plus. Parts avalability for
thede tractors seem plentiful how is working on and
servicing one as compared to later model Ford
tactors.

Easy to work on and parts are available at modest prices just about anywhere.

Insufficient information for valuation beyone a range of little use.

About $1000 with the information we have to go on. Lot of factors left out. Like Dean said, Insufficient information. Talking new tires and new professional rebuilt with paper work the price would go up.

Between this one and the Jubilee you posted about on the other forum, I would take the Jube 2 - maybe even 3 to 1 over an 8N.
Even if the Jube cost $1000 - $1200 more.
I think they are THAT much better of a tractor.

I have been batting it back and forth
I've looked at a lot of tractors lately. The Jubilee was a leap forward as compared to the 8n more hp live hydraulics and others. Just trying to make the right decision for my needs.

late side distributor 8N's bring more $ in my area.
One of those, "huh, what's up with that", kind of things when the price passes what you can get a NAA/600/800 for.

I like N's but I just can't compare a N to a post 53 Ford.
There is no comparison.
3-point forks are one of my most used implements.
had em on a N once.........without live hydraulics....it actually made me laugh out loud a few times....just exactly [i:5f859501d7]how[/i:5f859501d7] am I gonna do this.... :D

Scenerio.
You are brush hogging.
The mower blades get caught on a stump and nearly kills the engine so you stomp on the clutch.
On a tractor with live hydraulics you would shut off the pto, lift the mower off the stump, move the tractor forward, engage pto and you are back to work.
On a tractor without live hyds you would have to shut off the engine, get off the tractor and disconnect the drive shaft, get on,start engine, lift mower and move forward. Then shut down again, reconnect drive shaft, get back on, start tractor and NOW you are ready to work again.
Buy the Jube. You'll never regret the upgrade.

I ran into that exact scenario more times that I care to mention BEFORE I installed my Hokey Hydraulics kit!! However, I too would take a Jube over an 8N any day.....
