NIB sanding

Doing a little painting today. Lady at O'Reilly (she is the most knowledgeable one on paint there. Paints cars as a hobby) said something
about 'nid sanding'. I'm looking up the product online and it says:
"Nason 422-50 is a 2K urethane, non-sanding sealer designed to provide good application properties, a uniform painting surface and fast
nib sanding."
So what is 'nib sanding'? It's says it's a 'non-sanding sealer'. When she was telling me I thought she meant to give it a light sanding. Is nib
sanding something else?

Nib sanding is just sanding to smooth out paint, usually between coats using a scotch brite pad or 400 or up grit sandpaper

Thanks, That was pretty much what I was thinking. But when I saw 'non sanding' thought I would check to make sure. Better safe than sorry.
Guess that means color coat will stick weather you sand it or not.

A "nib" is a small bump in the paint. Nib sanding would be sanding just enough to remove the nibs. I've also seen things called "nib files" or "run razors".

I've never been able to spray Urethane primer without it
needing sanding. It seals great and works very well, but if
I want a nice smooth finish I have to sand it smooth.
It can be a light sanding as said, but sanding nonetheless.
YMMV

Off the subject, but that Nason paint is one of my favorites. I haven't used it in a couple of years but I sure worked well in the past. If one of my school buses needed freshening that's what I used.
