vertical muffler from yesterdays', bracket questions

Installing my new vertical muffler and pipe from yesterday's on my 55' 660 and had a question why there are three pipe clamps included. What and were does the third clamp and L bracket go? does anyone have any photos or ideas on location of the L piece?

L bracket goes onto a head stud, clamp then attaches to the short portion of the L to keep the pipe from flopping around like a fish on land.

Edit; on a 660? Probably not a head stud...

The vertical on my 9N when I got it was just a pipe clamp through two holes drilled into the hood. Pretty simple. But got rid of it since always had exhaust blowing in my face and getting it caught on low limbs in the woods we had at the time. I like the horizontal better.

Had the same issues, final nail in the coffin.

The exhaust manifold broke or cracked around the upright exhaust pipe attachment area.

May have hit one too many limbs.

New manifold and new underbelly muffler, plan on staying with this setup.

Plus less noise in my face.
