Den here some pics of the 8N LCG I put together about 5 years ago. 2000 LCG front axle outer sections with shorten 8N spindles. Front tires and wheels off of
a late New Holland turf tractor and the rears came off of a FMC grove sprayer and I had to build the centers. When I put the rear fenders on it they stuck up
way to high so as you can see by the pic I cut them out and dropped them about 4'' around the rear axle housings. Tractor ended up being about 6'' lower than
stock. I really wanted to put the skinny 24" duals on the rear but at the time I couldn't locate a set. I ran across an 8N modified like this over 20 years
ago in a junk yard near Daytona Beach there wasn't much left of it and I didn't have the funds to bring it home back then. The owner of the scrap yard said it
had been used to pull a small rake on the beach at Daytona by one of the resorts. So years later I put together my own

FLOLDFORD,Thanks for the pictures! You really did a good job on it and it looks excellent.I bet the smaller diameter rear tires really helped on the gear ratios of it to slow it down some. I have been thinking about doing one of my 8Ns something very similar for some time now.Like i said I have two sets of 18.4 X 16.1 pulling tires and rims I can choose from.Care if I use yours for motivation and inspiration? ONE GREAT LOOKIN N you have.

Post some pics when you get yours done. A friend of mine in Texas built one after he saw mine a few years ago. If I ever get around to building my V8 60 it's going in this tractor.

That's a great looking tractor.
I ran the same size tires on a 8N and you are right.
The fenders stuck up way too high.
I had to heavily modify the fender braces to get the
offset on my wheels to work. I shoulda lowered the fenders at the same time like you.

I've since sold this tractor (kept the rear loader)
I might do it again...like yours..
Like the other poster said, I liked what the short tires did to the
gear ratio.
low and slooow.....with lots of pull.
