This may be a little long hope you can help. 1954 naa 3 point worked alright but would leak down in half hour, had air in oil and piston rings were bad. Put new rings, moved back pressure tube from suction hole to back of sump. Adjusted lift linkage. Lift now stays up all nite, position control an draft control work fine. The problem lots of air in 134 hyd. oil loses prime in about an hour when back blade is on the ground. I looked in filler hole and can see lots of oil movement at back pressure tube in bottom of sump is this normal? I did not change o-rings on suction line under tractor. Also vane pump growls when lifting. Vane pump does not have hi-trol control nob but a large nut there, this nut can be turned with wench fairly easy. I have got a lot of info from the archives an do thank you all for that info but now iam lost. Thank you for your time Bob in MI.

TOH thanks for the comeback. Not what i wanted to hear. Is the flow out the back pressure tube normal? Also whats with the nut instead of control adjustment nob on the pump. I will use tractor till pump quits if thats the problem. Thank you for your help. Bob

" Is the flow out the back pressure tube normal? " That is where total pump flow is dumped at all times that you are not raising the lift.
