My Ford 8N will misfire when I open the throttle. It will idle just fine, but when I open the throttle it pops and bangs like crazy.
any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help

Check the easy stuff first--might be weak or partially fouled spark plug. Also check for
steady gas flow out of the drain on carb .

Firing order. 1 2 4 3. If front mount, cylinder # marked on cap. On engine, 1 nearest radiator, 4 nearest steering wheel.

Tom.......would you believe yer 4-cyl N-Engine will idle just fine on just 2-cylinders? ...BUT... when you demand more POWER from yer hand throttle, yer 2-cyls will COMPLAIN and pop and bang. Check yer FIRONG ORDER, 1,2,4,3 CCW. #1 is next to radiator. Yer 4-nipple front mount has cylinder numbers engrave by the nipples. It should be intuitively obvious nipple #1 connects to sparkie #1........Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister
