Thanks for all of the advice and comments.

OK, I'm sure I'm missing something.

Compression is 90+ for all 4 cylinders.
Spark is strong.
Didn't fire on ether.

Firing order is 1, 2, 4, 3.

My next thought is to remove the digital electronics and see if I can get it running with points.

Any other thoughts?

ne last attempt before going to all the trouble of switching back to points: turn off the gas, drain the carb bowl, install new plugs, try on ether only. Thinking those plugs may be fouled from so many starting attempts.

I apologize since I was out of town and did not see the other post, but was the 90 lbs. compression before or after the flooding of the cylinders? If you flooded it after the compression test, then compression may be down due to washing out the rings. Compression rings need oil to seal and if it's not on the cylinder walls, the low compression can cause a no start thereby gas fouling the plugs. If they are gas fouled when removed, let the cylinders air dry for a bit, drain the carb of all fuel, put some oil (one tablespoon) in each cylinder, whirl it over a few times to move the oil around, put in the plugs, turn on the fuel and try it again.

Cross #1 off yer list...

2) confirm spark with a spark tester (not having a spark tester is not a excuse as is your best guess is not verifiable either)

Convince us what is strong spark to you...
