Rear end oil deflector

The parts manual list the 8N differential oil deflector as 9N4150 and the NAA as NAA4150A. Does anyone know the difference and how I can tell?

I have compared those side by side more than once, and I can not find any differences between the two. They appear to be identical and interchangeable. But they do have different part numbers.......

Thanks John. I will bolt mine in tonight. Starting to get what I need to get the rear end back together. Looking forward to the maiden voyage on the NAA. Still wrestling with repairing threads on axles versus buying new. Have yet to find reasonble used ones.

Finally got around to putting the differential back in and hits the oil deflector. I believe there is a difference between 8N and NAA. I need to find a NAA4150A from a 53-54 NAA. Project is dead in the water.

end it to clear

I was thinking the same thing. Bend it or cut some off. Not sure what it is really for. Get oil to the pinion bearing I guess. Henry wanted it there so figured best put it back.
