Carb Problems

Recently overhauled the carb on my 9N, now it runs the best with the main adjustment screw backed all the way out or even taken out. This is a tractor that I recently traded for so I don't know if it was doing it before the overhaul or not. It runs real good with the screw almost out and the choke about half. Any ideas, maybe a air leak? I have taken it apart three more times and checked the jets and everything seems good.

ounds like bowl vent pressure is being compromised, possibly by a leak between the inside of venturi & the area surrounding the venturi (vent area). Be sure venturi is installed correctly, not bent or broken/cracked, and seats well.

You need to do more work on it. The float bowl vent is likely to be clogged which is one of the passage ways. You need to soak a carb over night and use spray cleaner and wire to poke out all the passage ways

xamine carefully for places that gasket is not sealing between the upper & lower halves.
