Interesting foot board/battery holder

So, what they meant to say was a 9N with a later
8N engine. Also, some spiffy oversized tires and a
catch-all running board. Interesting how many
things on a farm get robbed to make a functioning
frankentractor. It would take you months to sort out
the major issues.

(quoted from post at 22:18:22 06/20/15) Not mine, just stumbled across it on Craigslist

Yes sir...another sale, and the owner don't know how to tell an 8N engine, with a 9N running gear!!!
Foot rest looks to me like, the bottom out of a Jube foot rest/toolbox!!
Rear tires look to be pretty much used/cut up!!

If a good runner....I might go say......$900/$950 tops!!!????

Did he change his listing ?

He states its a 9n trans/rear with an 8n motor (a side mount dizzy at that) which is a lot better than 80% of ads.

It is ugly but if it starts right up and has no defects then I would ask $1650 too , of course that's not what I would offer if I was buying .

I really would have spent a couple hours and used a spray rig for a 20/20 paint job , upped the price to $1950 and settled for $1800 , then everybody walks away happy . If somebody drives 50 miles to look at a tractor then they want it and it is just a matter of price .

"Did he change his listing ? "

Maybe Ken, here's the text from the ad: "I'm selling a great
running Ford 8N tractor that has a 9N rear (trans and axle)."
Listing title says "Ford 8N".

I saw the other tractor you linked too. It's been for sale for
a while. Likely will be for a while longer too.
They just don't bring that much around here.
