OT - Our slapped together Farmall (pics)

I had schedule this week off work in case I needed extra time
to finish the crispy Jubilee, but since we had it done, Joan and
I decided to slap this thing together.

We already had a BN with two seats, so I stole those and didn't
have to fabricate new ones. We didn't quite get it finished, but
we took it to the fair grounds tonight anyway.
We'll finish the rear rims and touch-ups later.

In the picture at the fair grounds is our Allis Chalmers C,
the BN we reassembled [b:c4a8a062e8]this morning[/b:c4a8a062e8], the crispy Jubilee.
The next two belong to my brother. A Suzue and a Case SC.

The show doesn't start until tomorrow, but it's easier to drop
them off the day before. Less traffic.

That Farmall is a real looker. But in your big picture I don't see any pictures of the crispy Jubilee. You should take some nice big pictures and show them the before and after.

I guess the extra seat on the Farmall is for the wife to sit and hold your beer? I don't see any cup holder on it.

I have a BA that makes that BN look real wide but then the A rear end is a tad bit narrower then the BN is. My BA is half B and half A and I bet you can guess which end is which

You probably missed them CaryC, I posted them last Friday
when we finished it. Here's a [b:397f1343ec]link[/b:397f1343ec] to the YT post.

very nice B.

I was looking at a BN at an auction two years a go. While I was standing there looking at it. Two different old timers came up to
me at different times and started telling me about farming with BN's back in the day. I thought it was interesting that both
farmers had the same problem with their BN. They drove the narrow front into a rut or small hole and broke it off!

The narrow front end must not be very strong on the B's.

Well gee Gary, you don't have to save every one!
Pretty soon you'll fill up all my time asking me to take pictures!

"The narrow front end must not be very strong on the B's."

They are slim but I wouldn't call them weak by any means.
There are still thousands of them around after 60+ years.
The kids of a friend of mine hit a stump with his.
Busted the front bolster and the torque tube, but not the pedestal.
Not sure exactly how that happened!

I did see the pictures here and the transformation is amazing. What I meant is you should have those crispy pictures along with the tractor at the fairgrounds.

I have NEVER seen the front end of a B broke by any thing. Now and A well that is one of the reason I built the BA Had a good sickle mower for a A but the A hit a tree and broke into at least 5 pieces and had the B here that was locked up so I built my BA

I have owned at least 5 Bs over the years and none ever had any front end problems and use them for all sorts of stuff and some pretty rough areas.

Rich, here's one done the opposite way.
Farmall BN with a wide front end.
I bought it for parts a few years ago.

Oh! I see what you're saying now. Duh!
I probably will do that in the future. Haven't had much spare time lately! LOL

The A I got in to make my BA was owned by an older man and he had a belly mower under it. He was mowing his lawn and stopped to pick up some stuff in the way and looked back and watch it roll down a hill and hit a tree. Broke it into 4 or more parts so I took a locked up B and use it and another one for parts to build my BA. The exhaust is something that most would not use. But me I like to think out side of the box. The exhaust pipe is a copper pipe so never any rust and it makes it sound a bit like it has a lot more HP

Your tractors look beautiful - do you usually repair all the sheet metal or do you purchase new metal? The Jubilee just looks amazing, looks like a brand new tractor!

Thank you jumpmaster, Joan an I work hard at it!
The metal is all repaired or replace from parts tractors.
New sheet metal is just too expensive and usually no
where near the quality of the old metal.
If you saw them up close, you'd see they're not perfect.
They are 60+ years old after all. :D
