Anyone know where I can find/order/have asap a flat pulley...needs to be 4/3/4 od...and 5/8th bore. Its for a continental belton finish mower. I sold the mower with the tractor and the guy is coming Friday to get it. Its the mower that came with the Iowa tractor. So I really need to get it fixed asap. I actually need 3...The part # is coming up 1/2" bore but he mic'd it and its definatly 5/8ths. part # is g4bcfi-76 I bought one from tsc a bit ago that say it was 4" od but according to the tape measure its 4/1/2 which would work. Sorry If I sound stupid, not good with pulleys

That is just a run of the mill idler pulley. Try a good mower shop. I have drilled the rivets out of many like that and replaced the bearing, then bolted back together with 10-28 machine screws and lock nuts. It takes a little time but the price is right as the bearing is only a few dollars.

Google idler pulleys, also. Something will show up.

It's possible John Deere would have them?
How about Titan Machinery. We've got some
sort of surplus store here I'll have to
look there. I know continental was bought
out but can't look/ order parts off their
site. I ran around town for 2 hrs after
work looking for them. Lol...I even stopped
at Oriellys

NAPA has those type of pulleys listed in their lawn and garden catalog. There are several, with different bore diameters, pulley diameters, and pulley widths. Most are not "offset" and can be flipped over without changing alignment. I remember seeing more than one with a 5/8" bore bearing.

G4BCFI-76 is a Don Dye part number.

The idler is 4.75" in overall diameter and the flat area where the belt rides is 4" in diameter.

Bore is .635".

That very # is sold by DEERE as their part # AR541N, in the $50 to $60 range.

Or, you could call Don Dye and ask who re-sells them in your area, probably Grand Forks Welding or Motion Industries.

Baum hydraulics in Omaha has a generic unit with the same belt-run area diameter, but lower flanges, part #IF40062-50, for about $25. Believe that one is gonna be a bit wider, though.

Lisa..........ol'cuzzin weakeyes, looked attchur picture, and thought it was a tire rim. frickin' computer and auto-scale .......weakeyed Dell

BTW........cuzzin weakeyes was a character in Al Capp's "Little Abner" and then there was Daisy May with bodacious bazingas. As a YOUNG teenage male, I wondered what kept them from falling outta her low cut blouse. Well, she was BLONDE (grin)

Any place that sells mower blades should have that. We have a place here that has a ton of pulleys on the wall. Many of the centers have a bushing that can be removed to go to the 5/8 size.

Sorry about that...I don't know why it blows up the pic so big from the laptop. Doesn't do that if I post from my phone.

Yes, I'm sure john deere would have it. A case ih dealer may also have it. Combines and bakers use similar pulleys.

Auto parts store like carquest or NAPA can order it.
