Hobo you probably don't remember but some time ago I asked about a starter not engaging on a 4.6 L ford V8. You said that it had happened to you and that you had replaced the aftermarket starter with an OEM one and the lady had not been back. Well I put an OEM starter on the wife's Explorer per your recommendation and the problem went away, so thanks for your good advice.

I do like big tippers... :D

Speaking of Ford starters. I am clearing some land and saving wood for a few buds that burn it are saw it into RR cross ties...
RR cross tie bud shows up today for a load I load his ford pick up it will not crank over  It had a bad connection at the starter I remove the cable and clean it up the stud snaps out of the solenoid while tightening it up...

I order a starter install it (lay'N on the damm ground in the sun) but it makes a noise after the engine is running... I ordered a starter for a auto its a standard shift GRRRR...

That kind of thing is the story of my life. For instance, a leak at the back of the engine is diagnosed as a rusty heater tube so order one and when it gets here take the manifold off and the tube is great but the manifold is leaking like crazy. So, order a gasket kit but while cleaning up the manifold for reinstall, it just kind of falls apart, so order a manifold and guess what, it has built in gaskets. All you can do is shake your head and get it done.
