Parted ways with my '47 2N yesterday. Nice couple. Life-long organic beef and hay farmers in their 60s. Folks talk about buyer's remorse. I have seller's remorse. Gonna miss that ole girl! Got a fair price for her, though.

Well, now it's really time to get the '50 8N put back topgether! Enough dilly-dallying.

Say it ain't so! You need to shift into reverse in that three
speed to keep you from having too many children! LOL

I love my three speeds actually, but those of you who have
used them a lot know exactly what I'm talking about.

Buy another one and move the seat farther back! :)

That's awesome Colin! We're close to selling the 48..Guy that originally wanted it finally came when we were out there and drove it around for a bit and is trying to decide on implements. He lives over by Bemidji and doesn't have a trailer to haul it so we offered to deliver it to him no charge..on a weekend. What was the deal with your 8n? Engine rebuild?

The 8N is a story. I've had my eye on it since my "tweens." It was the first tractor on our neighbor's farm-bought new in 1950. He's now passed. I grew up with his grandkids. When I was 12 or so, I asked his son if I could buy it. "No!" But a couple years ago the son asked me if I still wanted it. He knew I had my '49 8N on the farm. He rebuilt the engine, but due to health issues was unable to continue. It's now in many pieces in my shop. Babies and house repairs got in the way of finishing it. Maybe this fall or winter. I hope.
