Hard starting problem fixed.

My 2nd 8N that I got 2 years ago now was converted to 12 volt 1 wire by the PO. The tractor sense I got it has been hard to start. Most often would only fire as you let off the starter button. Well today I got around to addressing the problem. The wiring harness was junk. Plus it wasn't even wired correctly. Rewired it and it popped right off while cranking.

I thought you were going to post a picture of it being towed
behind the big IH! Glad you got it straightened out Rick!

LOL I pull started it the last time behind the Suburban, don't know if I'd even think about firing off the 1206 for the N. The Farmall M is a bit overkill.

I knew what the problem was. Just had to get time to do it. Add in recovering from that darn knee and I'm a day late.

(quoted from post at 21:21:18 05/26/15) Was the problem no power to the coil while the starter is
cranking?

Yea, but it wasn't a faulty ignition switch, just bad wiring.
