Axle Trumpant Bracket?

My 48 8N front Mount has this bracket mounted to the axle trumpant. What does it hold/support?

Yepper-doodle, it's a tractor umbrella mount. Web site in link below that sells tractor umbrellas -Heritage Farms. I got my Dearborn umbrella there. They can't sell one with FORD TRACTOR on it for some reason (copyright laws) as the originals had DEARBORN logo on one side and FORD TRACTOR on the other. There are some originals still around and you see them pop up on ePay now and then but expect to pay big $$$ to get one.
