I was testing a carb for a fellow today and wanted to see how
well it would accelerate. So I took off in 4th gear on my 8N
just off idle and then snatched the throttle wide open. Twice.
The tracks in this picture are the results. Not quite a burn out,
but close. If you look you can actually see where the rear tires
hopped and didn't touch the ground at all. There are no tracks
at the bottom of the picture because it was already rolling.
I thought it might be mildly interesting to some of you.
It's a riot if you're in the seat! LOL

P.S. I'm apparently a very tall woman in a dress.

"All I can imagine was if it had a step up Sherman"

Yep, combo actually. 11.2 x 28 rears.

No wheelie bars Dean, just the 3pt arms.
It didn't do wheelies though, since it it was rolling.
It probably would from a dead start on pavement.
Not going to try that one. Might break stuff! :)

I have (are had) 2 identical N's I rebuilt the engine's on and went for the kill... The one with 11.2 x 28 rears would run circles around the one with 12.4's on it ... Both had loaded tires...

Hobo, run circles off the line? That makes sense to me. Less weight.
Not sure where it would make a difference after, except for stopping!
Luckily, this one has good brakes and the tires are not loaded.
